PISMP is a four-year bachelor’s degree programme (with honours) offered by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia at selected IPG throughout the country. Students who successfully complete both PISMP and PPISMP programmes will receive a bachelor's degree. However, before students can pursue the PISMP programme, they would first need to complete the Program Persediaan Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perguruan (PPISMP) which is a 12-month preparatory programme. The main course offered at IPG is the Program Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perguruan (PISMP) which is offered only to SPM school leavers. Previously known as Maktab Perguruan, the institution has since been revamped and upgraded.
